Biofilms are a collective of micro organisms including bacteria, protozoa and algae. An example of biofilm is the slimy plaque build up on teeth. Water system pipes, food processing equipment and medical devices are only a few examples of where biofilms commonly build up which can lead to clogging and rampant contamination. Studies have shown that exposure to Safe solution for only 1 minute, mature biofilms were noticeably dispersed and removed from contaminated clear tubing. This proves that Safe Disinfectant can be used in any industrial application without exposing people to dangerous chemicals that could leave behind toxic residues.
